Much needed time off At SFO about to leave for LA. I’m excited to finally get a chance to work on a project outside of school. School is fine and all, but I’m just really burnt out on it. On a happy note, maybe the TSA does happy endings haha.

At SFO about to leave for LA. I’m excited to finally get a chance to work on a project outside of school. School is fine and all, but I’m just really burnt out on it.

dreams are for the restless So when I dream, I dream big. Here we go: The California coast is angeled in such a way that it’s possible to see San Diego Bay from a generic spot on the beach in LA (or the LA area). It’s night time and I’m hanging out on the beach with a couple friends, and you can see the coastal highway lit up and the city lights extending all the way to San Diego. All of a sudden, faint yellow streaks appear in the distance and seem to fall on San Diego. There’s no sounds, but it looks odd. Other streaks are coming out of the city, so the sky is full of these very faint yellow-ish lights. I scream “San Diego is under attack!” and everyone panics. CUT TO That same beach - Day - hundreds of people (from what I remember seeing) walk along the streets trying to figure out what happened. I’m in the doorway of a beach front hotel looking at everyone, the computer screen displays some headline about an “attack” on San Diego. I see Robbie and Lakhvir walking amongst the people. Running over to them, I notice Lakhvir has been crying heavily. From what Robbie explains, he makes it seem that only her friend was killed. Later it’s revealed that a whole lot more were killed. The beach is a lot steeper than normal beaches, and families are seen all over it, kids running around and playing in the water, the parents mourning those lost in SD. Then things get weird.  Apparently this is a universe where every science fiction character exists (and say Science Fiction, not comic book i.e. the marines from Star Craft, characters from every Star Trek series, the entire Firefly crew, and so on) Everyone’s talking about a retaliation assault. There’s a meeting scheduled between some characters and I go try to find out what happens next.  At the meeting, which takes place in a hospital hallway/restaurant (a very odd combination) I see some patients. A woman, I’m assuming a nurse, comes to me and asks if I need anything. I tell her no, but she insists that she stay and talk. She tries to take my mind off the attack and asks me about a painting behind me. It’s a black and white painting of an older man standing in front of a metal bunker. I recognize him as Zefram Cochrane. Obviously, she doesn’t share my opinion on the painting and makes a note on her clip board. she leads me to a group of people sitting in front of a dodecahedron. She asks if any one knows this configuration, and someone says that it’s the Vulcan Intermixing grid (or something like that). At which point, the nurse, looking frustrated, turns around and pulls out a scanner and takes readings on the device. Later, in a restaurant, people are talking about who the attackers are. They mention they are hiding among us and they need to be found. As they say this, I receive a message telling me to watch one of the people at the meeting. As I get up to leave, I head to some stairs and walk halfway up. When I get there, the person I’m supposed to watch is behind me. He gives me an evil smile and says I better prepare for what happens next, before biting down on some suicide pill. I grab at his head trying to pry his mouth open but its too late. As we fall down the stairs, he says that I won’t be able to stop what he’s done, and I tell him I don’t need to as long as I can snap his neck. As we hit the floor, I break his neck, but because of the pill, he’s already dead. What happens next is I’m in my room again. The news screen is displaying all these science fiction characters walking towards a building, I’m assuming a hanger. I’m throwing on what looks like a space marine (SC) suit and preparing to head out. Some girl comes to my door and asks if I’m ready to go. I follow her out into the hallway and am almost at the door, when I realize I forgot my chest plate. Handing her my gloves, I turn and run to my room (in slow motion, and past the Firefly crew). I grab the chest plate and my gauntlets and run back out. When I get to the door, my friend is gone, my helmet is there with a note. I can’t read the language, but I take everything with me and run out into the sun.  End of dream

One Long Adventure My long day began this morning from an urgent wake up call from work. Got called in on my semi day off. Then off to swim, now I’m home finishing editing a paper. Then I get to go to the giants parade…sort of. I’ll be in the area, but stuck at a Starbucks training class or 5 hours…right through my class at 4 where my paper is due. Luckily I can email it to the professor so no worries. Then late night swim practice and home to relax. 5:30-9 bring it on!
